We'll be offering two classes this summer.
LIBR 100 is an introduction to library research. It can help to bolster your research and citation skills, as well as fulfill the CSM Information Competency graduation requirement.
LIBR 105 is a bit more advanced. You'll be exploring research in various disciplines at a deeper level and gain more expertise in locating and evaluating special kinds of information sources.

It's the Season for Research...Papers
The season of writing papers is almost here! For some folks it has already arrived :) . The library offers many resources to help with creating your citations including the Citation Sources page and a subscription to Noodlebib (citation generator) that CSM students can use.
We have two additional tools for students who need to create their Works Cited pages (MLA style) or Reference Lists (APA style).

Free Web 2.0 workshops in the library
CSM Library is offering several free workshops for CSM students, faculty and staff in November and December. The workshops cover Google Docs, Citations and Citation Generators, and a Google Apps overview. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, so sign up now. The first workshop takes place on November 10.

The Secretary of State office is in charge of voting procedures for California. Plenty of impartial information is available from that site including voting rules for the state, the current statewide voter guide and first reports on the election results. The League of Women Voters also offers helpful website for election information.
